2017 TH8 to TH11 Farming, Trophy & War Base Layouts (December 2017) – COC
A new month means time for a new base design. This month, I’m happy to announce that I was able to build a partnership with one of the best base designers out there – Scorpion Gaming. I have followed his channel for a long time now and featured some of his base layouts here and there. He’s really one of the best out there and actively uploads new bases very frequently. December 2017 Favorite Base Layouts for TH8 to TH11
Before I start, I’d like to give you some advice. If you choose to use an internet base layout – they sometimes get very popular, so people learn to handle and beat them. It always helps to adapt them a little bit.

Town Hall 8 Farming, Trophy Base & War Base Layouts
Town Hall 8 Farming Hybrid Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): For farming resources, I’ll recommend this base layout here. The Town Hall is offset and baits many attackers but the most valuable stuff is in the core area and well protected by the ring of defenses around it.
Town Hall 8 War Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): Get better war results with this Anti 3-Star layout that will require multiple hits to get beaten! An attacker will have a problem with the core area of this base, especially when hitting your base with air troops like Dragons when they will travel around the core of the base while the Air Defense will finish the job.
Town Hall 9 Farming, Trophy Base & War Base Layouts
Town Hall 9 Trophy Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): If you’re looking for a base that will help you trophy pushing at TH9, you should give this base here a shot. It’s very difficult to funnel troops to go for the Town Hall and most troops will simply pass the Town Hall and walk around the section of the TH (see in the defensive replays!)
Town Hall 9 Farming Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): For farming Dark Elixir you should try out this base. The center compartment with the Dark Elixir Storage has nothing in it that attracts troops, so they will very often simple go left or right for the other structures and ignore the core compartment (see in the replays linked below the picture of the base design).
Town Hall 9 War Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): This Anti-3-Star War Base Design is a great choice for your next Clan War with the open spaces and the large spaces between structures – this will make it a little harder for attacker to control and funnel their troops and Balloons loose a lot of power because spell effects won’t affect them that much and the distances they have to travel.

Town Hall 10 Dark Elixir Farming Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): Looking for a base that protects your Dark Elixir? This base works great 🙂 The Air Sweeper keep the core area clean from Balloons and it will be hard for any attacker to funnel in cleaning troops for that area. You should check out the replays I have linked below the base layout to see how well this base design is working.
Town Hall 10 Trophy Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): This base protects your Town Hall with the compartments above the Town Hall, forcing the attacker to attack from the bottom side which will force them to go throught the storages with their high hitpoints, both Heroes plus both Inferno Towers at the same time – a tactic that will fail often enough to make you some good extra trophies on defense 🙂
Town Hall 10 War Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): This Anti-3-Star WAr Base for TH10 defends really well with the X-Bows in positions where they can hit Queen Walks but can’t get hit without breaking the walls. Bowlers will fail to pass the core area and having enough power left to deal with the defenses on the other side because the Inferno Towers will deal simply too much damage over the time. Air attacks are forces to attack into the Air Defenses on the right side and pass the whole base to get the Town Hall, because the Town Hall is too deep inside the base to suicide snipe it easily.
Town Hall 11 Farming, Trophy Base & War Base Layouts
Town Hall 11 War Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): The bundled setup of defenses looks a lot easier to beat than actually possible. When taking the easy turn for the Town Hall, the attacker will have to deal with the Eagle Artillery the whole attack (and see his attack fail) and the Eagle Artillery itself is well-protected by all the storages in front of it 🙂 Solid base and absolutely worth trying out!
Town Hall 11 Farming Hybrid Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): I know I have been showing different versions of this base a few times this year but this updated version is working too well to ignore it here on this list. This layout will not let any attacker take more than half of your loot available, and everyone here at TH11 knows that this is a really good ratio! The attacker has to decide north or south and both options will lock the other half of the base and after half of the base most troops are gone 🙂 I use this layout myself for farming and really like the results and saving a couple hundred thousand every day will make a difference at the end of the week 🙂
Town Hall 11 Farming Base – (click on the picture for a larger view): This base is my current favorite for pushing trophies because it’s a little less conventional (you don’t have this wide dead zone ring around the core that solid Clashers can bypass if they know how to do it).
Attacking from the bottom of the base is not working due to the Eagle Artillery, but attacking from the north is also failing often enough because the defenses drag the troops (especially Balloons) together and the X-Bows will deal their full damage the whole time without any mercy 🙂
